Although SMEs are not formally required to report on sustainability, Wirutex took a proactive step by voluntarily preparing its first Sustainability Report. This tangible step positions the company among the first in Italy to adopt the VSME standards and builds on a well-established path grounded in [ISO 14001:2015](https://blog.wirutex.com/iso-14001-certification-our-commitment-to-the-environment)environmental certification and [**ISO 9001:2015**](https://blog.wirutex.com/iso-9001-wirutex-certified-quality) quality certification. A decision that reflects Wirutex’s ongoing commitment to responsible growth and continuous improvement. Through this report, Wirutex outlines its ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance)commitment, a journey that integrates these values into the company’s overall strategy: - **Environment:** efficient use of resources, waste reduction and protection of the local area. - **Social:** employee well-being, people development and support for the local community. - **Governance:** ethical, clear and transparent decision-making processes. Currently, 14% of the energy used comes from renewable sources, a significant milestone that serves as a starting point towards even more ambitious goals. Further confirming this commitment, Wirutex has obtained **ISO 14001:2015** , certification, demonstrating rigorous environmental practices and a focus on continuous improvement. In the **social sphere**, the report highlights a stable working environment that fully respects employees’ rights. The turnover rate of 6.9% confirms a high level of staff loyalty, and all employment contracts comply with collective bargaining regulations.
